  • John Abdool, DO

    Hometown: Miami, FL

    Undergraduate: University of Florida

    Medical School: Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine

    John knew that Trident would be a great fit due to the level of resident autonomy and the perks of practicing in an academic community setting. He is excited to hone his ultrasound skills. In his free time, he enjoys playing the guitar, pickleball, tennis, and working out at the gym. 

  • Sarah Braga-Guimaraes, MD

    Hometown: Bradley Beach, NJ

    Undergraduate: Monmouth University

    Medical School: Ross University

    Sarah chose Trident after interviewing with faculty and residents and feeling that it was an extremely welcoming community that made her feel part of a bigger family. She feels that the rigorous curriculum will allow her to explore her interests in critical care and ultrasound. She is also passionate about having diverse patient interactions. Outside of work, she enjoys paddle boarding, hiking, and traveling to Portugal to visit her family. 

  • Alexander Christianson, DO

    Hometown: Macon, GA

    Undergraduate: Georgia Tech

    Medical School: Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine - Georgia

    Alex enjoys the variety of cases and procedures performed in the ED. His interests include toxicology, pain management, and ultrasound. He chose Trident due to the supportive environment and the opportunity to spend three years in beautiful Charleston with his wife and growing family.

  • Curran Ditmeyer, DO

    Hometown: Escanaba, MI

    Undergraduate: University of Missouri

    Medical School: Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine, New Mexico

    Prior to residency, Curran was an ED scribe, and this work piqued his interest in emergency medicine. He is interested in trauma and critical care. His hobbies include powerlifting and anything sports-related.

  • Elizabeth Sears, DO

    Hometown: Oxford, NC

    Undergraduate: Liberty University

    Medical School: Campbell University Wallace School of Osteopathic Medicine

    Elizabeth is excited about starting residency at Trident because of the pediatric training, the multiple free-standing EDs to focus on independence and flow, and the unique history and adventures that Charleston has to offer. Her hobbies include crafting, board games, and drag racing with her husband!

  • Matthew Jamison, MD

    Hometown: Youngstown, OH

    Undergraduate: Wake Forest

    Medical School: Wake Forest

    Matt is excited to work at TMC because of the kind residents, great training, and exposure to the busy trauma center.  Outside of work, he loves spending time with his wife, Lacey, and their baby boy, Jack. They enjoy going to the beach, barbequing meats on the smoker, and cheering for the Demon Deacons. 

  • Ethan Kennedy, DO

    Hometown: Canandaigua, NY

    Undergraduate: Cornell University 

    Medical School: University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine

    Ethan grew up on a farm in upstate New York, where he raised and showed purebred sheep and cattle across the US. He also competed in curling at the national level. Ethan enjoys staying active and working out. His interests in emergency medicine include rural medicine and sports medicine. 

  • Colton Ruggery, DO

    Hometown: Hollidaysburg, PA

    Undergraduate: Penn State

    Medical School: Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine

    Colton chose Trident because he wanted a close-knit program that offers great hands-on experience. Charleston is also a beautiful place to live, and he couples-matched with his girlfriend who is a pediatrics resident at Medical University of South Carolina. In his free time, he enjoys being outside and playing any type of sports. He also enjoys spending time with friends and family. 

  • Hannah Tatum, DO

    Hometown: Murphy, NC

    Undergraduate: Florida Gulf Coast University

    Medical School: Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine

    Hannah chose Trident to be close to family in both North Carolina and Florida. She also felt like Trident would be her new home and that she would fit in well with the other residents. She chose emergency medicine for the pathology and populations served. Her hobbies include line dancing, reading, and crocheting.
